Prior to that, he was at American Capital Strategies, Ltd. His experience has focused on evaluating, underwriting and monitoring senior and mezzanine debt and leveraged buyout equity investments for companies in the middle market.
Previously, he worked at Piper Jaffray Companies, a middle market investment bank based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he specialized in merger, acquisition, valuation and corporate finance related transactions.

in Finance and Accounting from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
