Home prices in major Chinese cities continued to fall in November as the country's property sector continued to slump.

Home prices in China's 70 biggest cities dropped 0.39% in November from a prior month, narrowing from a 0.45% fall recorded in October, according to calculations by The Wall Street Journal based on data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Monday.

In November, there were 59 cities reporting month-on-month price declines, down from 64 in October.

Compared with the same period a year earlier, home prices in these cities fell 2.78% in November, widening from the 2.6% on year drop in October, according to the official data. Of the 70 cities, 64 reported year-on-year declines last month.

In the first 11 months of the year, home prices in these 70 cities fell 3.9% from same period a year ago.
