Klépierre: Stanley Shashoua appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board
The shopping mall specialist announced several governance changes following its Supervisory Board meeting on April 3, held in the wake of the passing of its Chairman, David Simon, on March 22.
Stanley Shashoua has been appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board for the remainder of his term. Meanwhile, Emmanuel Cronier has been co-opted as a non-independent member for a one-year period, until the Annual General Meeting called to approve the 2026 financial statements in 2027.
Following these decisions, the composition of the Board remains unchanged, with 9 members, including 6 independent directors and 3 representatives from Simon Property Group, including the Chairman.
A board member since 2015, Stanley Shashoua has served as President - International Real Estate at Simon Property Group since 2025. He joined the group in 2013 before becoming its Chief Investment Officer.
Emmanuel Cronier, Senior Managing Director Europe at Simon Property Group, joined the firm in 2008. With over 30 years of experience, he previously held executive positions at Unibail-Rodamco and General Electric after starting his career at KPMG.
Klépierre is the European leader in shopping malls, combining property development and asset management skills. The Company's portfolio is valued at EUR 21.2 billion at December 31, 2025, and comprises large shopping centers in more than 10 countries in Continental Europe which together host more than 720 million visitors per year. Klépierre holds a controlling stake in Steen & Strøm (56.1%), Scandinavia's number one shopping center owner and manager.
Klépierre is a French REIT (SIIC) listed on Euronext Paris and is included in the CAC Next 20 and EPRA Euro Zone Indexes. It is also included in ethical indexes, such as CAC SBT 1.5, MSCI Europe ESG Leaders, FTSE4Good, Euronext Vigeo Europe 120, and features in CDP's "A-list".
