Norwegian aluminum producer Norsk Hydro reported sales in line with expectations for the first quarter. Net profit increased. Adjusted EBITDA was 3.5 percent lower than expected. The share price fell 1.5 percent on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

Revenue rose 20.1% to NOK 57,094 million (47,545). The result can be compared with the company's analyst consensus of 57,066.

Adjusted EBITDA amounted to NOK 9,516 million (5,411), compared with expectations of 9,864, with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 16.7 percent (11.4).

Profit after tax amounted to NOK 5,861 million (428).

Earnings per share amounted to NOK 2.45 (0.47). Adjusted earnings per share amounted to NOK 1.63 (0.93), which is 23.8 percent lower than the analyst consensus of 2.14.

Hydro Extrusions is revising its forecast for 2025 for adjusted EBITDA. The company now expects to achieve approximately NOK 4.5 billion, adjusted from the previously stated NOK 4.5-5.5 billion.
