Qualstar Corporation is a company which manufactures and markets data storage system products and compact, high-efficiency power supply solutions. The Company operates in two segments, Data Storage and Power Supplies. The Data Storage segment manufactures and markets data storage systems, including highly scalable automated magnetic tape libraries used to store, retrieve and manage electronic data. Its tape-based storage solutions enable businesses to manage the growth of digital data assets and address long-term archive, backup and recovery of electronic data. The Power Supplies segment includes design and market high efficiency switching power supplies. The power supplies are used to convert AC line voltages to DC voltages, or DC voltages to other DC voltages, for use in a variety of electronic equipment such as communications equipment, industrial machine tools, wireless systems, as well as medical and gaming devices.
