Soundvest Split Trust, formerly Brookfield Soundvest Split Trust is a Canada-based closed-ended trust. The Trust's investment objectives are to provide holders of preferred securities with fixed quarterly interest payments and the repayment of the original subscription price at maturity. For Unitholders, its objectives are to provide holders with regular cash distributions and to maximize the long-term total return of its portfolio. Its investment strategy is to invest its net assets in a portfolio of securities consisting of common and preferred shares of Canadian issuers, income securities, including bonds and debentures, income trusts, real estate investment trusts, Canadian mortgage-backed securities, and cash and cash equivalents. Its portfolio composition includes sectors, such as Canadian Bonds and Debentures, Preferred Shares, Canadian Income Trusts, Canadian Common Stocks, the United States Common Stocks and Limited Partnerships.
