Andrew Malcolm re-joined Silver Lake in 2020 and is an Operating Partner.
He originally joined Silver Lake in 2008 as an Operations Associate, and then spent the last decade leading commercial teams in marketing, product, partnership and sales.
Previously, Mr. Malcolm was Chief Product and Marketing Officer at Evernote where he led a team that resurrected the company with a new monetization model that brought Evernote cashflow positive.
Evernote now has more than 250 million registered users, over 10 billion notes and seven Webby’s.
In previous roles, Mr. Malcolm was head of marketing and sales at Skype, leading a team of more than 100 people.
During that time, he helped the company surpass 1 billion downloads and 2 billion minutes per day.
He was part of the Skype team during the acquisition by Microsoft and the subsequent integration.
Following Skype, Mr. Malcolm joined HP, Inc. as Vice President of Mobile Solutions where he built a new revenue stream “mobilizing” traditional workflows to drive operational efficiency.
Mr. Malcolm began his career at Oliver Wyman Consulting (formerly Mercer Management) and held Product and Marketing roles at Google, Hotels.com and HSBC.
He holds an M.B.A with distinction from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a B.A. with Honors from Harvard University.
