Sparring is an active manager which invests in mid-sized companies across all sectors except real estate and finance. They seek to invest €10-€35 million in established, profitable companies with an enterprise value between €50-€250 million, strong market positions, high barriers to entry and high organic or external growth potential. The firm invests as a majority shareholder, alone or in partnership with other financial investors, partnering with experienced management teams with excellent track records and which share their strategic vision. Sparring's main concern is to understand the challenges faced by CEOs and assist them throughout the strategic reasoning and implementation process, with a particular focus on build-ups and financial optimization. The firm's partners make the investment decisions and do not invest in turnaround situations or start-up companies.
