Brian Carney is Managing Director & General Counsel, Litigation & Regulation at Apollo, where he is responsible for overseeing the Firm’s litigation and regulation matters.
Prior to joining Apollo in 2020, Brian was Partner in the Litigation group of the international law firm of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where he began as a summer associate in 2004 and was promoted to Partner in 2014.
Brian graduated from Northwestern University with a BS in Journalism and received his JD magna cum laude from Tulane University Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Barristers.
