Lucio Pench

Mr. Lucio Pench is a Director of Fiscal Policy & Policy Mix at European Commission.
He has been with the European Commission since 1989.
Before heading the Fiscal policy in the euro area and EU Unit in the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs he was in charge of coordination of surveillance of the EU Member States.
His earlier assignments include one as Adviser in the Group of Policy Advisers reporting to the Commission President.
His interests and publications focus on macro-fiscal issues, including in particular the relationship between policies and the EU institutional frameworks.
He holds a Masters' degree in International Relations (Economics Focus) from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
