Slovnaft as is a Slovakia-based company primarily engaged in the refinery and petrochemical sectors. The Company's activities are divided into four operating segments: Refining and Marketing, processing crude oil and marketing refinery products; Retail, operating network of petrol stations; Gas and Power, producing electricity, heat and treat water for production units; and Corporate services, including corporate services and financing of other segments. As of December 31, 2011, the Company operated 209 petrol stations and several warehousing capacities in Slovakia and was selling its products in Slovakia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary, among others. It operated 9 subsidiaries in Slovakia and Poland and one affiliated company. It was 98.4%-owned by MOL Nyrt, based in Hungary.
