Disruptive Pharma AB (publ), formerly Guard Therapeutics International AB (publ), is a Sweden-based company, which is active within the healthcare sector. The Company conducts development and commercialization of treatment and diagnostics based on the alpha-1-microglobulin (A1M) protein. The protein serves as a radical inhibitor, an antioxidant, a protector against free hemoglobin and a tissue repairer. A1M is a candidate for different therapeutic and diagnostic uses, such as alleviation of autoimmune diseases and stroke treatment. The Company works with the protein and conducts research at the Biomedical Center in Lund University, Sweden. The Company develops a drug for intravenous treatment of preeclampsia, a condition that can occur during pregnancy and can contribute to premature deliveries.
