Alexandra Maddy

Alex Maddy joined British International Investment as the Head of the Business Integrity practice in June 2020.
In her role she supports BII’s responsible investing approach and the requirements of the Policy on Responsible Investing, leading on all aspects related to business integrity.
Previously Alex worked for KPMG, where she was a Director running the Corporate Intelligence practice within Forensic, responsible for managing risk and business integrity issues for a range of clients, investigations and litigation support, strategic intelligence on pre-deal due diligence, market entry assessments, and broader reviews of risk management and compliance for clients.
Prior to joining KPMG, Alex led the Africa investigations practice at Control Risks and worked on investigations, litigation support and other consulting projects across countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
She started her career working as a private equity investment analyst for Pantheon Ventures.
Alex holds an MA in Geography from Cambridge University and an MA in International Studies and Diplomacy from SOAS University.
She is an accredited counter fraud specialist (ACFS, awarded via the University of Portsmouth).
