Andy Cohen

Mr. Andy Cohen is Vice President & Equity Research Analyst at Northcoast Research Partners LLC.
Prior to joining Northcoast Research in January 2015, Mr. Cohen spent time with Courtland Partners as a consultant, with Fifth Third Bank and Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor, and with MKM Partners, Longbow Research and FTN Midwest Securities as an institutional equity salesman.
Prior to that he spent 6 years as an equity research analyst and associate portfolio manager with Ancora Advisors and Shaker Investments Prior to becoming an equity analyst, he spent a decade in the health insurance industry doing actuarial and underwriting work.
He started his career as the chief design engineer for Tylok International a fittings and valve manufacturer for precision pipe and tube applications.
Through both his personal experience and ongoing research, he and his team have developed a vast array of industry contacts to draw from, including engineers, installers and marketing executives at a significant number of privately held and public manufacturing companies in both the United States and China.
He also maintains high-level contacts at many North American distributors that enable him to track industry dynamics and pricing trends for each of his industry verticals.
In addition to providing proprietary equity research and custom research data to institutional investors, he has worked directly in the design, machining and installation of various products manufactured and distributed by his companies under coverage.
Mr. Cohen received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University.
