Antonia Cortese

Antonia Cortese has been an Executive Vice President of the American Federation of Teachers since 2004.
She is a Member of the American Bar Association's Commission on Civic Education and Separation of Powers.
Prior to joining the American Federation of Teachers, Ms. Cortese was Vice President of the New York State Teacher’s Association and New York State AFL-CIO.
Previously, she was a Director of Freedom House and the New York State Special Olympics and a Member of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
Ms. Cortese received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Utica College of Syracuse University.
