Esther Teo

Ms. Esther Teo, CFA, is a Deputy Managing Director & Chief Fixed Income Officer at AHAM Asset Management Bhd.
Since joining the firm in 2004 as a portfolio manager, she has been instrumental in managing institutional and unit trust fixed income portfolios, and expanding the firm’s investment capabilities to include managing domestic, Asian, global, and ESG fixed income strategies.
Under her leadership, AHAM Capital’s fixed income funds have consistently ranked among Malaysia’s top performers.
Recognized by The Asset as one of Malaysia’s most astute investors, she has earned accolades for her expertise in both Malaysian Ringgit bonds and Asian G3 currency bonds.
Prior to joining AHAM Capital, Ms. Teo was a portfolio manager in RHB Asset Management.
She began her career in financial advisory at KPMG Malaysia in 1999, specializing in corporate debt restructuring and recovery.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of Melbourne.
She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and holds the CFA ESG Certification.
