George Farrar Abel

Mr. George F.
Abel, CFA, is Managing Partner at MeadowBrook Investment Advisors LLC.
He co-founded the firm in October 1999.
He plays a key role in the firm's equity effort.
Mr. Abel was Chief Investment Officer and Co-Head of First Chicago NBD Investment Management Company, one of the nations leading investment firms.
At year-end 1998, the firm had assets under management in excess of $60 billion.
His role included investment responsibility for the highly successful Pegasus Mutual Fund family, which offered 29 funds covering a diverse range of investment styles.
In addition, he was directly involved with the high net worth and institutional market segments.
He oversaw a staff in excess of 170 employees and reported to a Vice Chairman of the corporation.
A similar role was held at the predecessor company, NBD Bancorp.
Before becoming Chief Investment Officer, he served in a variety of equity roles, including analysis, head of research and manager of the firm's largest equity mutual fund, the Pegasus Growth/Value Fund.
This last position was held for ten years.
He received his undergraduate degree from Grove City College and a graduate degree from Northwestern University.
