Principle Capital Advisors Ltd.
Principle Capital Advisors Ltd. Investment ManagersFinance PCA is an activist investment manager focusing on the UK and continental Europe. The firm invests either directly or through investment funds and special investment vehicles. They invest in listed equity following an investment approach inspired by private equity investing and arbitrage. PCA targets companies with substantial growth potential, under-performing and significantly undervalued companies deemed to be in need of management restructuring, and distressed companies. They invest in small- to medium-sized companies and manage concentrated portfolios. PCA focuses on companies with solid asset backing, avoiding businesses based on human capital or technology. They also avoid shareholding structures which could constrain their activist strategy. The firm acquires an initial stake, gains access to management, and later increases their holding to a controlling interest. They occasionally apply vigorously activist methods to unlock value. The co-investment vehicle Bulldog Financial invests specifically in Nord Anglia Education plc (LSE: NAE), a provider of education and childcare worldwide. | Chief Investment Officer | 18/02/2010 |
