Sturgeon joined AVANIR Pharmaceuticals in February 2007 as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer and has been Interim Chief Financial Officer since July 2007.
He was a Consultant with DLC, Inc. Mr. Sturgeon worked as Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Financial Officer for several publicly traded client companies.
He has 25 years of experience in senior financial positions.
Mr. Sturgeon was Vice President and Group Controller of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. He held various executive financial positions with Western Digital, Corinthian Colleges and Novacare.
Mr. Sturgeon received a BBA degree in Accounting from the University of San Diego and an MBA degree in Finance from IESE, a European MBA program sponsored by Harvard University.
