Alerhand is a Founding Partner at Galileo Investment Management LLC.
Prior to Galileo, from 1996 to 2005, he held several positions at Merrill Lynch.
In his last assignment, he was responsible for the structuring and marketing of fixed income, credit, and currency derivatives in emerging markets.
He was previously a member of the Equity Capital Markets group as head of equity and convertible origination for Latin America and co-head for the technology sector in the U.S.
Prior to that, from 1994 to 1996, he was a member of the Equity Derivatives/Structured Products group at Morgan Stanley.
He holds a Ph.D.
in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania and was a post-doctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
