Yavuz Uzay

Mr. Yavuz Uzay is a Research Analyst at Merrill Lynch International.
He was previously employed as Head of Turkish Equities Research by Renaissance Capital Ltd. Mr. Uzay joined Renaissance Capital in 2011, lead the Turkish research effort and covered Turkish banking stocks.
He worked previously at Goldman Sachs, where he was an Executive Director in the Fundamental Strategies Group (part of the trading division) in 2008, covering all key emerging EMEA markets (Russia, Turkey and CE3) with a focus on EEMEA macro, financials and large cap oil and gas stocks, as well as selected other industrials in Turkey and Russia.
Prior to that, Mr. Uzay was with Credit Suisse Equity Research (2005-2008) as a Director heading the Turkish equity research effort and covering banks and selected industrial stocks in Turkey.
Before that, he spent 10 years with Global Securities in Turkey (1995-2005).
During his career, Mr. Uzay was closely involved in a large number of ECM transactions in Turkey, as well as Kazakhstan and Romania.
Recent transactions he worked on include the IPOs of TAV Airports (Turkey), Coca Cola Icecek (Turkey and CIS) and Halyk Bank (Kazakhstan).
Mr. Uzay has a BA degree in economics from Bogazici University of Turkey.
