BERLIN (dpa-AFX) - The average price of e-bikes sold in Germany fell last year. On average, buyers paid 2,550 euros, representing a 3.8 percent decrease per e-bike, according to reports from the two-wheeler industry and retail associations. A total of 2 million units were sold, compared to 2.1 million the previous year. Conventional bicycles without motors cost an average of 500 euros, consistent with the prior year. However, significant discounts were also seen in this segment due to high inventory levels. These were offset by the boom in expensive racing and gravel bikes. The associations plan to present further details on the industry's development in Berlin later today./ceb/DP/MarketScreener
