The Company operates through its board of directors (Board), and strategic partnerships with service providers covering investment management, actuarial, administrative, company secretarial, and tracking services. Its portfolio is placed into an asset trust, the Acheron Portfolio Trust (the Trust). The Company’s principal strategic partner relationship is with the Trust’s Investment Manager, Acheron Capital Ltd, which provides investment management services. The Company invests in, and manages, portfolios of whole and fractional interests in life settlement policies issued by life insurance companies operating predominantly in the United States. The Company seeks to generate long-term returns for investors by investing in the life settlement market, through each of the separate Share Classes. The Company has not established target rates of return with respect to its investments.
