Thurella AG is a Switzerland-based company engaged in the food processing industry, primarily in the beverage sector. The Company is involved in production, distribution and marketing of fruit and vegetable juices, semi finished products and juice concentrates. The Company sells its products under its own brands such as obi, Rittergold and Thurella. As of December 31, 2011 Thurella AG operated through its two wholly owned subsidiaries: Biotta AG, involved in producing and bottling fruit and vegetable juices; as well as GESA GmbH, producing and selling vegetable juices and concentrates primarily for the industrial use. As of December 31, 2011, the Company also owned the majority owned subsidiary GFO GmbH and had one affiliated company, Niba Getraenke AG.
