Allerion Asset Management seeks to generate consistent absolute returns over time. The firm employs the use of technical and fundamental analysis to invest primarily in US equities both long and short. Their technical analysis is applied in various ways that include identifying specific entry and exit points in isolated investments, identifying specific sub-sectors of the market that they believe will likely outperform or under perform and establishing a timing element for asset allocation decisions. Over-bought/over-sold oscillators, sentiment indicators and money flows are just a few of the tools that will be used in technical analysis. Allerion Asset Management uses fundamental analysis to either verify or deny their top-down observations. In general, the firm's fundamental analysis is directed towards identifying companies and industries where the growth profile is likely to improve or, in the case of short candidates, erode. These scenarios generally develop when a new product cycle begins or a new unique demand driver enters the applicable space. In these cases, Allerion Asset Management expects stock prices or industry sector performance to outperform other alternatives as earnings growth accelerates together with the valuation applied to those earnings.
