Sofipa is an active manager which invests primarily in Italian small- to medium-sized companies in industrial sectors including leisure, professional and consumer cleaning appliances, specialty inks, outsourcing services, software, vending machines for food and beverages, fashion accessories, wholesale tire distribution and heat exchangers for refrigeration and air conditioning. They do not invest in companies in the real estate, banking and insurance sectors. The firm seeks to invest EUR 10-50 million in companies which are leaders in their market, and have a strong management team, significant competitive advantages, high growth potential and generate strong cash flow. They acquire majority or minority positions, partnering with investee company management to increase growth. Sofipa invests across development stages, providing expansion financing, replacement capital and funding for MBOs, MBIs and LBOs.
