Gary M.
Saxton has been Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of BioSphere Medical, Inc. since January 16, 2006.
He was Senior Vice President and General Manager of BioSphere Medical from March 2005 to January 2006, and Vice President of Marketing and Sales from November 2004 to March 2005.
From 2001 to 2004, Mr. Saxton was a Strategy Consultant in the medical device industry.
From 1999 to 2001, he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Symphonix Devices, Inc. and Vice President of Marketing for CardioGenesis Corp.
Mr. Saxton held various marketing and strategy positions at Medtronic, Inc., including Director of Strategic Plan and Market Development Manager.
He began his career at IBM Corp.
Mr. Saxton held various sales, marketing and finance positions at IBM.
Prior to joining IBM, he served as a Captain in the US Army.
He received a BS from the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York and an MBA from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
