Patrick McGarvey

Pat McGarvey is a Partner at Fairway Capital Management.
Mr. McGarvey was previously a Managing Director at GCM Grosvenor, one of the world’s largest independent alternative asset firms with over $55 billion in asset under management.
GCM Grosvenor manages assets on behalf of a global client base across hedge fund strategies, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and multi-asset class investments.
As Managing Director of Business Development and Client Services, he was responsible for pension, healthcare and sovereign wealth fund clients as well as key consultant relationships.
During his tenure he spent over twelve years founding and managing Grosvenor’s Middle East business.
Mr. McGarvey was involved in most all aspects of the business and specialized in creating customized products and partnerships that fit the needs and requirements of leading global institutions.
Mr. McGarvey spent seventeen years on Wall Street in various roles at Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
He began his career in fixed income and moved into private equity.
During this time of rapid innovation on Wall Street, he was intimately involved in many new initiatives including the development of securitizations, derivatives products and new alternative asset structures.
Mr. McGarvey is passionate about education and the way it can transform lives.
He serves or has served on various boards including the Cornell University Council, the Cornell College of Business and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Mr. McGarvey also enjoys mentoring students and advising student-led start-ups as part of the The University of Chicago Booth School New Venture Challenge.
