Mr. Sam V.
Morland is Chief Investment Officer & Founder at OVS Capital Management LLP.
Prior to founding OVS, he worked at HBK where between April 1998 and 31st December 2008, he built and managed HBK’s European equity event driven business.
From 2005-2008, he was CEO of HBK’s London office, responsible for the overall running of the office, which consisted at its peak of approximately 30 staff, split among 4 business units and administrative staff.
In January 2006, he was appointed HBK’s first non-American partner.
Previous to his time at HBK, from 1994 to 1998, he worked at Union Bank of Switzerland AG in their Equity and Equity Prop Trading groups in Zurich, New York and London.
From 1986 to 1992, he worked at the Bank of England.
Mr. Morland holds a first class BA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and an MBA from INSEAD (France).
