Walter Hobbs joined ACT Venture Capital at its inception in 1994 and brings a wide range of experiences to a portfolio of information technology, services, media and development capital companies.
He currently serves on the boards of several companies including AEP Networks, Channel 6 Television, e-Net, Gift Voucher Shop and MDS Gateways.
Previously, he served on the boards of Am-beo, Amphion Semiconductor, Lifestyle Sports and TV3.
Prior to joining ACT, he spent 7 years at AIB Corporate Finance in Dublin specializing in strategic corporate advice, M&A transactions and IPO's.
Prior to AIB, Walter spent 11 years with KPMG.
Walter Hobbs graduated from University College Dublin (UCD) with a degree in Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant.
He also holds a Diploma in Business Strategy from the Irish Management Institute (IMI).
