Essar Oil Limited is an integrated oil and gas company. The Company is primarily engaged in the business of refining and marketing of petroleum products in domestic and overseas markets. The Company operates through two segments, namely, Refining and marketing, and Exploration and production activities. It is also engaged in oil and gas exploration and production activities. The Company has a portfolio of onshore and offshore oil and gas blocks with around 1.7 billion barrels of oil equivalent in reserves and resources. Its site refinery at Vadinar, Gujarat has a capacity of approximately 20 million metric tons per annum (MMTPA). Its development and production assets include the Mehsana Oil Block, Cambay; Raniganj Block, Raniganj, West Bengal, and Ratna and R-Series, Offshore Mumbai. Its exploration assets include the Rajmahal Block, Jharkhand; Talchir Block, Orissa; IB Valley Block, Orissa; Sohagpur (North East or NE) Block, Madhya Pradesh, and Assam Blocks, Assam.
